When I first started photography I just wanted to take cute pictures of my kids. 

I don't think I could have even verbalized why that was so important. 

I also didn't realize at the time how important it would be for me to be in those photos. 

I knew that pictures of my kids brought me joy, but three years later I realize that there was a part of that equation missing. 

I'll be honest, 

I hate having my picture taken. 

My kids surpass my cuteness by lightyears. 

But Ive decided to start showing up for these sessions with my littles. 

They need to see their mama in the images with them. 

That's why I now take pictures with them every year, in some capacity. 

And as long as I have a camera in hand, I will keep nudging you mamas to show up as well.
