I don't usually blog twice in a week, let alone twice in a day!!

But today seemed like the perfect day to share about a new plant shop in Huntsville, Alabama! Pure Joy Plant Shop is a local, Huntsville based plant truck that pops up at various places around the city! I had the privilege of meeting Yarden Binns, the owner at The Camp in Mid-City a few weeks back. I had never seen a mobile plant truck and was immediately drawn to it! So simple and so beautiful! A true artist heart in design. 

I told Yarden that I was a local photographer and would love to capture some images for her new venture. I was so interested in her story and how this idea came about. 

Yarden told me that when she transitioned out of the military in 2018 she started to develop a a love for succulents. She was missing the beautiful, jungle greenery of her stationing in Hawaii. She didn't know much about plants at the time but started to learn. Her husband began buying her plants for holidays and birthdays and her collection really began to grow. She came across another entrepreneur, Hilton Carter who had a plant and coffee pickup truck in Mexico. She loved this idea and started planning how to bring it to Huntsville. 

She started shopping for trailers and in 2020 found the perfect one and transformed it into what you see in these images. 

When her husband asked her how plants make her feel, she said, "they give me joy." And thus the name of her business was born: Pure Joy Plants.

I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this! A true original design and idea and such a blessing to us in Huntsville that get to be a part.
