Let's be honest.

Not every session goes 100% as planned. Especially when you have tiny humans involved. 

It can be easy to look at my page or other photography pages and think that every session is completely flawless. That angel children that sit completely still are the norm and that wardrobes straight out of vogue magazine are what everyone has in their closet. 

It can be the same when we look at the social media accounts of those around us-some we have never even met. 

But the truth is, as people, we are perfectly imperfect. 

We are real.

We are human. 

And with that comes every range of emotion and disposition you can think of. 

I loved everything about this session. 

I went into it with a specific plan and idea in mind. And then there were a few situations (some humorous, some less than humorous) that caused us to alter course. And while I know that causes stress on you mamas out there-trust me-I'm here for it. 

This may be one of my favorite sessions I've done in a while. 

Did baby cry the whole time...Yes.

But did we capture the tender love of a mama comforting her little one? Also yes. 

Did it allow me to focus on the connection that already existed between dad and his older kids. Also a big YES. 

And while it may not have gone as we imagined, it went, I believe, exactly as it should have. 

As a client I ask you to trust me. Trust that I see the beauty in your mess. Trust that I'm a safe place free of judgement. And trust that at the end of the day, no matter how things go, you will have beautiful moments captured that you will treasure for a lifetime.
