Places to Adventure in North Alabama: Family Photoshoot Locations

As a family photographer in Huntsville, Alabama I have several locations in my back pocket for when a family schedules a photoshoot. 

The biggest go to is a beautiful field in the North Alabama area. 

And while that is classic and stunning, there is the artist and explorer side of me that loves a good adventure!! 

When this family chose to take their photoshoot to a beautiful, natural creekside I was thrilled. 

I mean, who doesn't want family photos like this?! Ones that scream fun and let you express who your family really is!

Or maybe you are a little more reserved. That's ok! An adventure session may be just what your crew needs to take away the awkwardness you may be feeling in front of the camera. 

 

So here is a list of amazing locations I am just itching to shoot this coming Fall season! 

 

Greeter Falls 

How Gorgeous is this waterfall??

Kinlock Shelter

I was in awe of this natural beauty so close to Huntsville, Al!

Oak Mountain

This little hidden gem gets such gorgeous sunsets!

Cherokee Rock Village

This one is easily my most anticipated little day trip. Makes me feel like I am somewhere near the mountain formations of Utah and Colorado

 

And of course several others but I'll save those for another day!!

I love that Huntsville has some of the most beautiful sunsets that create the perfect backdrop for your family photos! Ditto landing, Blevins Gap and various private property locations are some of my favorites!

And while we're on the subject of unique venues in Huntsville, have you heard of the new Huntsville Greenhouse. It is so gorgeous and makes the perfect backdrop for any kind of family session. 

We've been dreaming of and planning this little venue for quite sometime and are so excited to now offer this to local families. 

This is an amazing place for you kiddos to explore and have a little local adventure. 

And speaking of kiddos, if you've been stressed that your children may not cooperate for your session, please don't worry about that. 

I've photographed hundreds of children and have found some key secrets in helping them have an amazing experience.
