Top 5 Scenic Locations in Huntsville for Family Photography

When our little family moved from SC to AL I wasn't prepared for how beautiful of a backdrop we were moving into. 

Huntsville has some of the most beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets I've been able to experience. There are so many unique locations that would make the perfect backdrop for any family photo session. 

 

Blevins Gap

This particular session was taken at the Blevins Gap overlook. I'm convinced it's one of the top two best sunsets in the city (the other being Ditto Landing).

Add in a gorgeous family full of love and connection and this makes for something out of a story. 

Ditto Landing

Ditto Landing has my favorite sunsets in Huntsville! There's just something so beautiful about this location. If you haven't had a chance to explore as a family you should definitely change that this Spring or Fall. 

Aside from family photos they have fishing, camping and even hiking trails.

Downtown Huntsville

Downtown has quickly become one of my favorite spots for family photos! It so much charm and variety, and no two sessions will be the same. Younger children enjoy the fun and newness of the city as well as the busy-ness and excitement. Older children are more at ease and have opportunities to just chill and explore without the intimidation of what to do in a wide open field.

Hays Nature Preserve

Hays is a classic for family pictures in Huntsville or Madison Alabama. It is technically in Owens Cross roads not too far from the city. Hays has so much to offer families. My own family enjoys picnicking and riding bikes at Hayes as well as just exploring their nature trails. Their back field is beautiful for pictures!

Your Home or Backyard

The best memories are made right at home! If I could only shoot one thing forever it would be in-home sessions. I absolutely love documenting that space that your family lives in. The space where you share the most laughter, the most tears and every emotion in between. Where you bring your babies home and where you watch them grow up. You really don't need anything more than that.
