Because let's be honest, after the cold and gray of winter, we're all ready to get out and celebrate the warmth and the green.
When blooms really start to open after the last frost, I start to get excited about spring photography sessions. The colors and textures of flowers speak of new life and growth.
Huntsville has several talented florists, but you don't have to buy flowers to find them. The parks and fields throughout North Alabama are awash with wildflowers and even flowering "weeds" this time of year. Violets, morning glory, queen Anne's lace, dandelions, wild trillium, woodland phlox, lesser celandine, calico aster, and more grow locally and can be found in just about anywhere they can grow roots.
For cultivated flowers, I love the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
For free and whimsical wildflowers, check out your backyard.
Who doesn't love a whimsical swirly dress and a crown of flowers?
Spring feels like fairies and sweet rain and sun coming around the clouds, and your spring family photos should feel like exactly that. We want to capture this time, this feeling, in a bottle and hang it up on your wall.
So as we plan your session, think through what vibe you want for your session. I know I'm going for flower crowns.
Three little siblings together in a field, frolicking and collecting flowers, allowed to be free and wild the way little girls were meant to be.
This is what spring photography is all about: setting your babies free to grow and play and thrive, and capturing those moments to treasure later on.
You heard me. This gorgeous creation has been in the works for some time and it's opening for spring and motherhood sessions!
