As a photographer, my primary job is storytelling.

Not what you expected, right?

See, I'm not just in your home to take photos of your family. I'm there to tell the tale of your family. When you look at those pictures hanging on your wall, I want them to evoke scenes from your life. My hope is that these photos cause playback in your mind of the moments you treasure most.

So. Let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time...

A new life entered the world.

Ten perfect fingers and ten perfect toes formed in miniature.

A nose turned up at the end.

A serious brow, just like dad.

Downy, sweet smelling hair.

A tiny seed ready to grow.

As it turned out...

Our little seed was not the only one in this house.

This home was already full of toys and books and the sound of dancing feet.

A daughter, the apple of her mother's eye and the delight of her father.

One seedling was already growing in this garden, her tender leaves just beginning to unfurl.

But they must make room.

Arms that held only one must learn to bear two.

Hands must become gentle.

Daughters must become sisters.

Gardeners must make room for a sprout in the sun.

She has a path to follow.

Mommy and daddy have already practiced growing. Once upon a time, their family was only two.

Then they became three.

So making room for a fourth is easy.

And their daughter finds that being a sister isn't as difficult as it seemed.

In warm arms, in the footsteps of his sister.

And as he grows, the garden blooms.
